Types of a relay

Three types of relay :- 

1. Current coil or amperage type relay
2. Potential or voltage type relay.
3. Hot wire relay.

         Relay ?       

 It is an electrical operated switch used to disconnect the starting winding or starting capacitor from the circuit, when the hermetic motor reaches at 75% of its rated speel

Amperage type relay ?

Relay whose working depends upon the number of amperes of current flow through the running winding during starting and running time of the motor.

 Purpose an amperage type relay is used with hermetic motor? 

used to disconnect the starting winding from the circuit when the motor comes at 75% of its rated speed.
