The liquid level falls below the normal level in the float housing, the float ball comes down pulls the needle from its seat and allows the liquid refrigerant to enter into the float housing and evaporator. As soon as the liquid level rises, it carries the float ball to the proper height which helps the needle to go back to its seat and prevents further entry of liquid.
